TROPE TM Drilling hollow bars is an unique anchoring system and is today’s answer to the increasing demands of the tunnelling industry and ground engineering for safer and faster production.
The relative rib area of the TITAN thread is very high; it lies close to the optimum value of fR = 0.21 - fR = 0.33 and is therefore many times higher than the relative rib area of ribbed reinforcing bars (fR = 0.056). In addition to the good bond, the rib surfaces at an angle of 45° reduce the splitting forces. The crack widths at maximum load lie below the 0.1 mm stipulated for verification of permanent corrosion pro_x0002_tection. Such a crack width cannot be achieved by drilling rods with rope threads, e.g. R32 or R38 (to ISO 10208 and ISO 1720).
